Although they look pretty similar to hardwood sleepers, softwood sleepers are lighter in weight, which makes them easier to transport, handle and work with.
They can be used in a variety of carpentry and landscaping projects, both large and small – such as decking, patios, raised beds or vegetable and flower borders, water features and even furniture.
Our products have undergone treatment for longevity and protection against rotting or fungal decay, making them suitable for outdoor uses. Softwood timber usually has a lifespan of up to 15 years if properly maintained after purchase.
Please note that every sleeper is unique and may present irregularities, wanes or knots. The colour of the sleepers is also expected to change when exposed to sunlight and other environmental factors, but in time they will only achieve an aesthetically pleasing natural silvery hue.
